Week 4 Running Back Rankings

1. Marion Barber(vs. WAS)- Superstud will get it done, as usual.
2. Frank Gore(@NO)- Frank has looked great, and Martz has used him well. NO has suspect defense and is struggling with injuries, so should be another good day for Frankie.
3. Marshawn Lynch(@STL)- Great back against Rams. That's money in the bank.
4. Reggie Bush(vs. SF)- No one else left to make plays for the Saints. Should have a 100 yard receiving day, plus rushing yards and a TD or two.
5. Ladainian Tomlinson(@OAK)- Great match-up for LT, but if I were the Chargers I'd put him on ice for a couple weeks to get that toe right. Threat of toe limiting him is a concern.
6. Adrian Peterson(@TEN)- Tennessee defense is elite, and should tee off on Frerotte. Minnesota could be playing from behind, so temper expectations for AP.
7. Matt Forte(vs. PHI)- Will get plenty of touches, but Philly D is looking great.
8. Larry Johnson(vs. DEN)- If Huard really starts, then LJ should put up solid numbers in Arrowhead, though Denver is tough.
9. Clinton Portis(@DAL)- A tough match-up, but Portis is a gamer.
10. Jamal Lewis(@CIN)- After Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore, Jamal finally gets a defense he can run against. Uncertainty at QB position a concern, though.
11. Chris Perry(vs. CLE)- Quietly becoming a very solid fantasy back.
12. Michael Turner(@CAR)- Very tough match-up vs. Carolina D, but has earned status of every week fantasy starter.
13. Maurice Jones-Drew(vs. HOU)- Finally came alive last week, and decent match-up.
14. Earnest Graham(vs. GB)- Was terrible last week, and Gruden likes to run Dunn, so becoming a bit of a gamble, but should rebound.
15. Jonathan Stewart(vs. ATL)- Carolina needs to get the ball to rookie way more often. If so, could have a huge day against Falcons.
16. Thomas Jones(vs. ARI)- Gets lots of touches. Sooner or later should be effective.
17. Steve Slaton(@JAX)- Looked great against Tennessee. JAX is a tough match-up, but on paper TEN was tougher.
18. Edgerrin James(@NYJ)- Will get you yards every week. TDs? Nah.
19. Willis McGahee(@PIT)- Looked good last week, but tough match-up and McClain may steal goal-line carries.
20. Correll Buckhalter(@CHI)- Did great filling in for Westbrook. If Westbrook is out again C Buck could do well.
21. Chris Johnson(vs. MIN)- Vikings have stymied RBs so far, and Lendale taking goal-line carries.
22. Steven Jackson(vs. BUF)- Trent Green won't help.
23. DeAngelo Williams(vs. ATL)- Could be enough for two backs to prosper against ATL.
24. Fred Taylor(vs. HOU)- Fragile Fred should have good yardage. TD's unlikely.
25. Brian Westbrook(@CHI)- Probably won't play, but as long as there's a chance this stud deserves a place in the top 25.
26 Rashard Mendenhall(vs. BAL)- Ravens a tough match-up for rookie's first start.
27. Selvin Young(@KC)- Broncos running back committee frustrating, but should be all-you-can-eat yards buffet against KC.
28. Darren McFadden(vs. SD)- Banged up, part of a committee, and facing SD, so not a great situation.
29. Darren Sproles(@OAK)- Could get significant mop-up duty in second half with big lead.
30. Ryan Grant(@TB)- Not fantasy relevant so far thanks to hamstring injury/poor conditioning after training camp hold-out.
