Draft Strategies
Based on draft trends I notice, I'll add tips and strategies here from time to time. The biggest factor will probably be whether or not you take an RB in the first round. If you don't, and you find yourself weak at RB by the middle rounds of the draft, don't panic. Shonn Greene and Donald Brown could be two really solid contributors this year and they can be gotten in later rounds. Neither has any significant competition for carries on their teams, so if you're stacked up in talent at QB and WR they might be able to help you fill out a weaker RB corps so you can still contend for the title. If you go the other way, and grab a stud RB early and miss out on the elite QBs, don't worry, there are tons of solid options at QB this year. Peyton Manning and Jay Cutler are two guys who could put up great numbers and can be gotten after the top-tier guys are off the draft board. I'm not a fan of Matt Ryan, but with his weapons he could be solid too. And don't forget about Matt Schaub. If he and Andre Johnson can both stay healthy, he's an acceptable starter for a team that is stacked at all other positions, and should be available pretty late in drafts, just be sure you have a good back-up for when he gets hurt.
